Nice to meet you!

I'm Samantha, the owner of Crochet CLT.

My husband and I moved to Charlotte from a small town in upstate New York in 2017.

7 years later and we are still proud to call Charlotte our home. I look forward to meeting you if you ever stop by a pop up market!

How it started.

Like many great projects, Crochet CLT officially started during Covid. I had been taught to crochet as a child by my Grandmother, and picked it up on and off over the years.

Covid provided a sudden abundance of time at home and I thought it would help to pass lockdown if I could make some items to donate to local hospitals. With the help of a few tutorials, I made "ear savers" for frontline workers and sent them to Novant and Atrium facilities with my neighbors who were in healthcare. After that I started making infant hats for premies in the NICU. Over time I started adding other patterns, and when Halloween came around- a costume for my daughter. As time passed, we started venturing back out into the world and Crochet CLT was officially born. I started attending local pop up markets- and the rest is history!

The first of several Halloween costumes! My daughter went as our Boston Terrier.
